Douaa graduated from Bahrain Polytechnic with a BSc degree in Marketing. During her time at the Polytechnic, she had the opportunity to work with clients across different sectors by identifying their business problems and providing short and long-term marketing-oriented solutions.

During her project with Think Pink Bahrain, she was awarded for having the 'Best Commercial Award.' Bahrain Polytechnic also awarded her the 'Creative Marketing Award' for developing an internal marketing and employer branding strategy for Bahrain Bourse.

Douaa interned at the Competitiveness Advocacy department at the Bahrain Economic Development Board, where her main role was focused on developing content for outreach to promote Bahrain's key global standing. Douaa was involved with the StartUp Bahrain community. She developed key editorial content pieces and promoted the local initiative via the StartUp Bahrain social media, website, and community meet-ups. She loves drawing illustrations and enjoys traveling.
