Role Overview


The Director of Innovate for Bahrain (i4BH) will lead and scale Bahrain’s flagship innovation and acceleration platform while building a new, strategic growth engine as a Google Cloud reseller and co-sell partner.


This role combines ecosystem leadership, commercial ownership, and strategic partnership management. The Director is accountable for impact, revenue, partnerships, and execution.


Key Accountabilities


1. Strategy & Leadership

  • Set and execute the strategic roadmap for Innovate for Bahrain, aligned with national priorities and global technology trends (with strong focus on AI).

  • Lead existing acceleration programs, community engagement, and innovation initiatives.

  • Identify and launch new programs and revenue streams as market needs evolve.


2. Google Cloud Partnership & Growth

  • Drive the Google Cloud partnership and reseller strategy, including Partner Advantage tier progression, incentives, and specializations.

  • Act as the primary interface with Google Cloud partner, sales, and technical teams.

  • Lead co-sell (“sell-with”) motions to acquire new customers and expand existing accounts.

  • Drive solution listings and transactions via the Google Cloud Marketplace.


3. Commercial & Financial Ownership

  • Full P&L responsibility for the Google Cloud business unit.

  • Balance low-margin cloud resale with high-margin professional and managed services.

  • Oversee pipeline management, deal registration, and complex commercial negotiations.

  • Enable customers to optimize and consume Google Cloud committed spend.


4. Solution Direction & Capability Building

  • Translate customer business needs into appropriate Google Cloud and AI solutions.

  • Maintain executive-level fluency in cloud, data, and Generative AI offerings.

  • Define team certification and capability roadmap to support partner credibility and growth.


5. Ecosystem, Operations & Representation

  • Manage i4BH operations, budgets, KPIs, and impact reporting.

  • Build strong relationships with government entities, corporates, investors, and partners.

  • Secure sponsorships, grants, and strategic collaborations.

  • Represent Innovate for Bahrain and its partners at high-level regional and international forums.


Experience & Profile

  • 8+ years’ experience across innovation ecosystems, technology partnerships, or cloud/SaaS commercial roles.

  • Proven track record managing strategic alliances and revenue-generating initiatives.

  • Strong understanding of cloud co-sell and partner-led growth models.

  • Google Cloud credentials and partner experience strongly preferred.

  • Fluent in English and Arabic.

  • Commercially astute, relationship-driven, and comfortable operating at executive and policy levels.
