Through its ‘TAM Here’ self-service payment kiosks located across Bahrain, PIE has developed a service allowing Talabat drivers to deposit the cash they collect from deliveries, said a statement.
The newly-added service will make the cash collection process more efficient for Talabat and help optimise operations for more traceable cash deposits.
The strategy is also aimed at creating a more measurable and seamless experience for customers.
PIE chief executive Fawaz Ghazal said, “We are very excited to have Talabat on board with us; our objective is to empower market players with fintech solutions that will allow them to optimise daily operations.”
The partnership, he said, is also part of the company’s focus on fostering technological innovation within the regional fintech landscape.
According to Talabat managing director Hesham Al Saati, the partnership with PIE will help it to stay at the forefront of food delivery technology.
“We strive to make the process of ordering and delivering food online seamless and secure for our partners and drivers. This in turn contributes to providing our customers the best possible food delivery experience,” he added.
PIE has been investing heavily in infrastructure development, making high-value commitments to the future and striving to provide its customers with end-to-end services as a single provider.
One of the company’s major projects in 2016 was the launch of eGov kiosks and TAM-Dinar project for government institutions in Bahrain to facilitate payments for government services.
