BAB Participates in Roundtable on Training Priorities for FinTech and Digital Transformation

The Bahrain Association of Banks (BAB), participated in a roundtable hosted by Bahrain FinTech Bay, titled “Training Priorities for FinTech and Digital Transformation”, bringing together a select group of specialists and experts across human resources, FinTech, and digital transformation.
BAB was represented by members of its Human Capital Committee, chaired by Ms. Afnan Saleh, and its Digitization and Innovation Committee, chaired by Dr. Yousif Almas.
The roundtable provided a platform to advance dialogue on workforce development priorities in the context of accelerating digital transformation, facilitate the exchange of practical insights, and explore opportunities for collaboration. Discussions focused on aligning human capital strategies with institutional objectives and national priorities, with an emphasis on strengthening national capabilities within the financial and banking sector.
Participants discussed a number of priority areas, including targeted training requirements across FinTech, digital transformation, and innovation; training preferences; and programme design considerations, including duration, delivery mechanisms, learning formats, and target audiences.
Commenting on the event, Ms. Zeeba Askar, Chief Executive Officer of the Bahrain Association of Banks, stated that BAB’s participation reflects the Association’s commitment to supporting national initiatives aimed at developing human capital and its role as a platform for dialogue and coordination to enhance the readiness of banking talent to meet future requirements, particularly in FinTech and digital transformation.
